In Thailand and many Asian countries, elephants were used in the logging industry until the Thai government enforced a logging ban in 1989. Many celebrated this decision. Before an elephant becomes a candidate for work under human command it must first be removed from their mother as a baby, our conservation would like to be at the first elephant breeding center. The first elephant hospital in Koh Samui to save the elephant and increases the number of baby elephants, and take care of the elephants with their mothers will stay together forever at the Samui Elephant Kingdom.

Welcome to Koh Samui Elephant Kingdom! We are the first ethical elephant conservation in Koh Samui. The Samui Elephant Kingdom was founded by Chokchai Rueangsri who grew up in a family that owned and worked with elephants for generations. That is to say, he saw the abuse of elephants getting worse as tourists demanded more such as elephant riding and elephant performances. From a young age, Chokchai felt a deep connection with elephants and always dream that one day he and his family could create their own conservation for elephants. His dream was realized in 2019 when he created the Samui Elephant Kingdom.
